Call for Artists

The fifth Buxton Art Trail will take place this summer as part of the 40th Buxton Festival Fringe. We hope you are keen to take part!

BAT 2019 dates will be the first weekend of the Fringe

Saturday 6th July 11 am – 6 pm

Sunday   7th July 11 am – 6 pm

All participating artists are asked to do both days if possible. The fee will be £20 per entry whether you participate in one or both days. Entry fees cover the cost of printing the BAT Trail Guide, advertising the trail and are needed for BAT to go ahead. Whilst community and official groups generally make one entry, artists mostly enter as individuals which then gives them their own individual entry in the Trail Guide and on the website, even though they may be exhibiting with others at the same venue.

All payments by BACs transfer please (details on the application form which is available on our website:

We require all participating artists to have their own Public Liability Insurance for the event (available via Society for All Artists or Artist Newsletter – details online)

It is the responsibility of each artist to source a venue, set up the exhibition and be present (or for an agent to be present) to discuss and watch over your work at your venue during the art trail. Help with this is available for out-of-town artists.

If you would like more information, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Please spread the word to any interested artists. You can apply online using our application form or email

Hope to see you on the Trail!
